THE MUSIC ROOM
The music room was originally a threshing barn - but in the 19th century it was converted into a reception room for the main house where recitals were held. It was during this period that the stunning tall stained glass windows were added and a few years later a stage was added by the then owners for operatic performances.
The music room is magnificent: detached, huge and incredibly romantic. It is one huge space with a vaulted stucco ceiling, four massive arched windows with stained glass borders generating light and colour. The floor is polished wood with rugs and there is a large open fireplace, huge white sofa, home cinema, CD with MP3/iPOD and a discreet kitchen area. The bedroom is on the stage with a four poster bed, dramatically draped and tassled with dramatic lighting.
