We’re Devon through and through… except our Head Chef, of course, Iain Dawson; an ebullient Canadian who has made his home in the South Hams and heads up the kitchen. Iain’s culinary craft, gained from some suitably impressive dining locations, has evolved the Millbrook dining experience into a simple, unpretentious style with unique twists that present the honesty of the ingredients in ways that delight and surprise.

He is on a quest, always seeking new and innovative ways to present food that speaks of its Devon heritage and celebrates all the people who are part of the Millbrook supply community. Many of whom will be found in the bar sharing their knowledge and ideas so that the Millbrook menu truly reflects the best of this beautiful county.

The team know how important the Millbrook is to the village and the surrounding areas and are fully committed to their principles of fantastic food and genuinely affordable prices, forging key relationships with the finest local producers to ensure that not only is the provenance traceable to miles, or even yards in some cases, it comes to the Millbrook with the heart and soul of the people who work hard in the fields of Devon and onto the plates for them, as well as the many visitors to this beautiful county, to enjoy.
